Cedar Garden Room & Composite Decking

This Kildare project combined two of our most popular services: a bespoke cedar garden room and a run of Millboard composite decking. Rather than treating them as separate elements, we designed them to read as one unified structure — the deck wraps around two sides of the room, creating a covered outdoor seating area to the front.

Western red cedar ages to a beautiful silver-grey if left untreated, or can be oiled annually to keep its warm honey tone. This client chose to let it go natural — a low-maintenance option that suits the relaxed feel they were after.

The bifold doors span the full front elevation, meaning on a dry day the interior and the deck feel like one extended space. Strip lighting was recessed into the deck edge and the roof soffit, so the room is as impressive at 9pm as it is at noon.
