Timber decking looks good the year it goes in. By year three, it needs sanding, oiling and replacing any boards that have split, cupped or gone grey. Composite boards are made from wood fibre and recycled polymer — they do not rot, they do not need oiling and they come with 25-year manufacturer warranties that timber decking simply cannot match.
Every deck we install is built on a properly engineered aluminium or treated timber frame with concrete or screw-pile footings. The subframe is the part you never see, but it is what determines whether your deck stays level, dry and structurally sound over 20 years or starts bouncing and sagging after five.
We carry 20 or more colour and grain options and can show you physical board samples at the site visit. Grooved anti-slip boards are standard. Hidden fixing clips mean no screw heads visible on the surface. Fascia boards are fitted to all edges for a clean, finished look.

Never maintain it.
The annual cost of maintaining a timber deck — sanding, staining, replacing split boards, treating the frame — adds up quickly. After five years, a well-maintained timber deck has usually cost more in time and materials than the original installation. Composite boards are cleaned with a hose. That is the full maintenance requirement.
The boards we install come from manufacturers with proven 25-year performance records. We select products with solid warranties, good scratch resistance and a natural wood grain finish that holds its colour. The range now covers greys, taupes, charcoals and warm oak tones to suit almost any garden and house style.
Three reasons customers
choose composite every time.
25-year board warranty
The boards we install carry manufacturer warranties of up to 25 years. No fading, no structural failure, no replacement costs. It is a long-term investment, not an annual maintenance commitment.
Engineered subframe
Every deck starts with a properly designed frame and footings. This is what keeps the deck level, prevents bounce and ensures the drainage falls work correctly over the long term.
Clean hidden finish
Concealed fixing clips keep the board surface free of screw heads. Fascia boards are fitted to all edges. The finished deck looks like a designed piece of outdoor space, not a DIY project.

Composite Decking FAQs
Straight answers to the questions we hear most before a site visit.
-
Composite boards cost more per square metre than standard softwood decking at the point of installation. However, when you factor in the annual maintenance cost of timber — sanding, staining, replacing damaged boards — the lifetime cost of composite is usually lower within five to seven years. You also eliminate the labour cost and time of annual upkeep. We will give you a clear comparison at the site visit based on your specific project.

Most standard residential decks are installed in one to three days depending on size, the complexity of the frame and whether steps or raised sections are included. We complete all groundwork, frame construction, board laying and finishing in a single continuous installation. You do not need to be home for the work — we will confirm access arrangements beforehand and leave the site completely clean.

Earlier generations of composite boards did absorb more heat than timber in direct sunlight. The boards we install now use co-extruded technology with a capped surface that reflects more heat and stays significantly cooler underfoot. In practice, on a sunny summer day, they are comfortable to walk on barefoot. We can show you technical data sheets for specific products at the site visit if this is a concern for your project.
