Good fencing defines a boundary properly and looks right doing it. We install horizontal cedar slatted fencing, closeboard and hit-and-miss timber panel fencing across Dublin and Leinster. The horizontal cedar slatted style has become our most requested option — the clean lines give a modern, contemporary look that works well alongside natural stone paving, composite decking and garden rooms.
Cedar is a naturally durable timber that handles the Irish climate well. It weathers to a warm silver-grey tone over time, or can be oiled and maintained in its original warm colour. Either way, it looks well for years and improves a garden significantly over a standard panel fence.
Gates, pedestrian access and vehicular entry are all handled by our own team. We build and hang gates to the exact opening so they operate correctly from day one. Wall lighting and weatherproof sockets can be fitted to fence posts as part of the same installation.

Cedar horizontal fencing.
Built for Irish gardens.
Horizontal cedar slatted fencing is the style we get asked for most. It suits modern gardens well — the clean horizontal lines complement natural stone paving, composite decking and garden rooms. The boards are fitted with small gaps between them, giving you privacy without the fence feeling heavy or closed-in. You get light, air movement and a design feature rather than just a boundary.
Cedar handles the Irish weather well. It is naturally durable, resists moisture better than standard softwood, and can be left to weather naturally to a silver-grey or oiled to hold its warm golden colour. Either way it looks well, and it ages in a way that standard panel fencing simply does not.
Good fencing is a design feature,
not just a boundary.
Cedar horizontal fencing
Our most popular style. Horizontal cedar boards fitted with small gaps between them — modern, clean and private. Works beautifully alongside patios, decking and garden rooms. Weathers naturally or can be oiled.
Timber panel fencing
Standard closeboard and hit-and-miss panel fencing, properly installed. Solid, private and cost-effective. A good option where the budget matters more than the design statement.
Gates & access
Pedestrian and vehicular gates built and hung by our team to fit the exact opening. Fitted correctly from day one so they operate smoothly and continue to do so.

Fencing FAQs
Straight answers to the questions we hear most before a site visit.
-
In Ireland, fences and garden walls up to 2 metres in height are generally exempt from planning permission when located to the rear or side of a residential property. To the front of the property, the limit is typically 1.2 metres. These are general rules under the Planning and Development Regulations and exceptions apply — for corner sites, protected structures and in certain planning scheme areas. We will confirm the applicable limits for your specific site at the site visit and advise if anything needs to be checked with the local authority.

Cedar horizontal fencing uses horizontal timber boards fixed to a frame, with small gaps between each board. Unlike standard panel fencing where boards run vertically, the horizontal layout gives a much more contemporary look. It provides privacy while letting some light and air through. Cedar is the preferred timber for this style — it handles moisture well, has a natural warmth to it and either weathers gracefully to a silver-grey or can be oiled to hold its original colour.

Yes — gates are handled by our own team and priced as part of the overall installation. We build and hang pedestrian and vehicular gates to the exact opening. Whether you need a standard timber gate or something to match the cedar fencing style, we can accommodate it. Gates hung correctly from the start operate properly for years without the sagging and dragging that poorly fitted gates suffer from.
